Unity does not mean uniformity.

When I started as the “Charismatic Calvinist,” my only goal was to spread the word that reformed-ish soteriology does not contradict with a charismatic view of the Holy Spirit. I just wanted to read R.C. Sproul listening to Hillsong United on my iPod. This theological juxtaposition introduced me to a huge audience of fantastic people who might not all be charismatic or Calvinist, but are desperate for an ecumenical conversation.

There’s a much larger battle to have than bickering with angry Reformed people about worship music. Take a look at the church today and all people want is to “convert” other Christians to their theological camp. “Catholics are idolaters,” or “Protestants are heretics.”

We’re seeing through that here. We’re seeking the unity Jesus will return to without the uniformity the dogmatic legalists desire. I’m excited to have you join the conversation.
